A tile is useful only when the space in its travel direction stays clear all the way to the edge.

A directional puzzle about removing the piece whose exit path creates the next useful opening.
About the game
How Hexa Away works.
A directional puzzle about removing the piece whose exit path creates the next useful opening.
Hexa Away is a directional path puzzle. Each hex tile wants to travel along its marked direction, but it can leave only when the entire route to the edge is clear. Position alone is not enough; the important question is what the removal will expose next.
The best turns create an unlock chain. Removing an outer tile can open two or three inner paths, while an isolated available move may change the board without helping the central traffic jam at all.

How to play Hexa Away
Three actions to understand before the first run.
- 01
Tap a hex tile whose marked direction has a clear route off the board.
- 02
Use each removal to expose the direction and path of neighboring pieces.
- 03
Reassess the board when a tempting tile moves but does not unlock another exit.
Board reading
What separates a safe move from a tempting one.
Removing one outer piece can free several inner paths, making move order more important than visual proximity.
Some available moves remove a tile but leave the central lock unchanged. Save them until they support the main route.
Strategy notes
Build a better second run.
Use these observations after you have felt the controls once.
Pixel Flow hard boards often have one color that opens the layout; Hexa Away often has one tile that opens the exit chain.
A move that exposes two future paths is usually stronger than a move that removes one isolated piece.
Hexa Away is governed by direction and collision rather than ammunition or color matching. Read the route to the edge before judging a piece by position.
Before tapping, name the next tile that the move should unlock. If the move has no clear follow-up, look for a wider opening elsewhere.
Trace the whole arrow path, not just the first open gap. I kept tapping pieces that could move but did not actually unlock the jam.
The best moves are the ones that reveal two arrows behind them. If a tile only removes itself, I save it for cleanup.
I like that it is slower than a traffic puzzle. You can sit with the board and find the one edge piece that starts the chain.
On mobile, zooming the page a little made the arrows easier to read. After that the touch controls felt fine.
Do not clear every outside tile automatically. Sometimes the outside piece is blocking nothing, while an inner diagonal is the real opener.
